This page explains what Tappie records when someone taps a Tappie link, and why.

What we record when you tap a link

Each tap on a Tappie short link logs:

• the time of the tap
• your IP address
• your browser's user agent
• your approximate country, derived from the IP address
• your device model and operating system version
• screen size, language, and time zone reported by your browser
• the link you tapped and any ad identifiers the ad platform added to it

Why we record it

We use this information to match an app install to the ad tap that led to it, and to report that conversion to the ad platform that served the ad (Meta, TikTok, or Google).

How long we keep it

Tap logs are kept only as long as needed for attribution, and no longer than 90 days.

Where the link takes you

After a tap, you go to the App Store or Google Play. Those stores, and any app you install, have their own privacy policies.
